Quite right atula. Most people could manage without buying clothes for a while, but if you are buying stuff buy things that are suitable for various occasions when teamed with different accessories.

excellent common sense tips. a small number of interchangeable classic pieces can make up dozens of different outfits just by mixing them, and adding just the right brooch or scarf or belt.

These are great tips. My biggest problem, in any economic climate, is are my weight fluctuations. Many times, I cannot wear favorite garments for many months because of my weight.

I’ve noticed some of these things over the last year or so… the classic look is coming back and those are the clothes that can be dressed up *or* down without much effort.
