I didn’t know that aspirin was thought to prevent the first heart attack, and didn’t know it was being suggested as stroke prevention.
At least, it is good to know that you needn’t chew one everyday, until you have actually had that first heart attack!
That “magnets for migraines” treatment doesn’t surpise me. There have been magnetic therapy for years, I believe.
I posted the above comment and then saw the part about aspirin not preventing the first heart attack. You know, I have even heard that aspirin is not successful at all at preventing heart attcks in women. But yet I bet many (at risk) women take their daily aspirin pill to try to ward off a heart attack.
I think it just proves what I’ve always though anyhow… they’re really not sure what helps/what harms when it comes to various kinds of treatments and medications.
My best friend is an M.D and even he agrees in most cases. Hit and miss for the most part. Something that’s prescribed today has no guarantee that it won’t be found harmful a few years down the road.
