I've heard that, atula, yes. It's what diabetics do, and it's supposed to be healthier for all of us.

That's not like 6 full meals, though... smaller "meals" without any more calories. People sometimes forget that part. :-)

Porridge is the best way to start the day, it will keep you feeling full. The research sounds very dodgy, why Canadian bacon? If I started the day with bacon it would be British free range bacon!

I've always been taught that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, too... and I'm in the US. :-)

I might be tempted to forego breakfast or be content with a glass of juice, but I know that a higher protein breakfast keeps the hunger pangs away. Peanut butter on some nice whole grain toast suits me for a high protein meal.

So in other words the full english breakfast is good for you... Well there's a surprise. Us brits have always maintained that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

It's always nice to have a thought I've had validated like this. :-) When I diet, I've always made sure to have a good (just not high calorie) breakfast or I'm a goner before 10 a.m. rolls around.

Never start your day without breakfast. It'll jumpstart your metabolism and keep off those mid-morning munchies.
