Good article! One of my rules is that I allow myself to go to bed angry. I don’t buy the rule that couples should always make up before bedtime. Doing that does not allow for tempers to simmer. If I just “sleep on it” I find that I am not upset in the morning because usually it wasn’t a big deal anyway.

Sometimes I will find that once we’re in bed it puts everything into perspective and that whatever we were arguing about really wasn’t important after all.
And I always try to make things right before going to sleep or I have a restless night.
