Totally impractical, I know…. But hey….. I will only live once… and if I freeze to death, at least I know I did it in style with a lot of leg showin’
I am especially partial to a few fashion staples *yes, I am one of those girls that If I can wear it everyday until someone complains I smell, I will* like my jean skirts and a blue paisley sundress. They’ve seen me through size 14 and the not-so-healthy eating habits. The zippers have grunted their objections when I tried to squeeze into them and they’ve closed happily when I started to lose the weight.
So maybe they are not as good of a friend today as my brand new obsession *the scale*, but I will never forget that they have been there for me through the highs and lows of my weight loss. And today, with much sadness and tears…. they will be moving on…… without me.

These are just some of the clothes that I am getting rid of today. Much that I’d hate to see them go, my skirts and jeans won’t stay up and my dresses look like I should be wearing them as nightshirts. I did consider auctioning them off on eBay in hopes that they will inspire others to lose the weight, but I decided to give them to the less fortunate. I am donating bags full of clothing to my city’s local shelter.
I have mentioned once or twice in the last few months that I started a low-calorie diet and in two and a half months, I lost 17 lbs! I didn’t do anything fancy…. I didn’t buy into any designer diet plan …. And I didn’t starve myself to death.
It’s the right of passage. It happens when you lose the weight. You toss the part of your old life out….. and you get to do some serious shopping.
*well, hello, there…… size 4*
Check out what’s hot and sexy in my closet!

Nice items.
Are you sure you couldn’t “restyle” them with a few well placed accessories?
A belt, a broach, a hobo bag?
LOL
Fantastic! You lost weight that you wanted to loose without starving yourself (Two thumbs up).
However, may I suggest at least wearing leg warmers in the winter from now on? j/k, keep up the good work!
Well done on the weight loss! I know what you mean about parting with clothes you have loved, it is like dumping old friends.
This is great news! Getting rid of certain pieces of clothing have been difficult for me also. I always end up realizing that I really didn’t need it anymore.
You are right, we know we don’t need the old stuff, we just need to accept that by getting rid of the item we are not throwing away the memories.
I read somewhere that taking a photo of an item that is difficult to part with will help to get rid of it. I did this with some of my baby stuff.
