After socialite Paris Hilton declared her candidacy for president on Tuesday in a web video, enterprising supporters rushed to create a Paris for President site for the presumptive G-O-Pink candidate. On Thursday, USA Today reported the video is “pushing 4 million views since Tuesday.”

http://www.parisforprez.com was up hours after the video began circulating virally on the Internet. At the site supporters can sign a petition to help the nascent candidate qualify for the ballot.* The site also offers a mix of items ranging from “Paris for Prez” t- shirts to numerous “1600 Pink Avenue” items for sale. Special care was taken to offer numerous styles that would be attractive to a typical Paris supporter - for example tank tops and, yes, even a thong (Note to white hair dudes: that’s a type of underwear worn by young skinny girls, rarely seen on old chicks.)

Since inheritances are never guaranteed, it seems even a socialite needs to make a buck. Items on http://www.parisforprez.com sell for as little as $15.00. At this rate President Paris should be able to extend the tax credit, fix our health care system and broker peace in the Middle East in no time at all.

Creators of the site, Redstick Internet, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana marketing firm, say should Paris ascend to the White House, in keeping with her point-by-point energy proposal, they will offer a line of paraphernalia with her new energy slogan “Turn off the lights, dude!” They also plan to offer a line of leopard-inspired swimwear, pink house paint, anti-wrinkle cream, and reflecting her penchant for tanning, “1600 SPF only at the Pink House” loungewear.
