Kids can be as serious or as creative as desired. Videos may be featured at www.weather.com/kidcast and might even be shown on air on The Weather Channel network. The chance for fame comes in three categories: “most creative,” “most entertaining,” and “most likely to be a meteorologist.” Winners in each category will receive a $100 gift prize package from The Weather Channel. The best overall video will win a grand prize trip for four to Atlanta to tour our new HD studio, including three nights with hotel, flight and car rental.
Contestants must submit a video of a single child or group of children under the age of 18 presenting a local, regional or national weather forecast. With a submission deadline of July 31, submit videos and review more guidelines at www.weather.com/kidcast. Remember to check back to see if your video made it to weather.com, or to check out the competition.

Thanks for dropping by!
You know, I could be a weather newscaster too, cos every darn time I wash my car, it’s bound to rain! LOL!
Good point, Nick… you should send a video in! Oh, and in your forecast, be sure to mention that right after you wash the car is when the birds use it for target practice, too.
this sounds really interesting..but sad that Icant participate as I do sometimes get these intutin of rain or storm or really piercing heat…
Nick, I hope that you don’t wash your car anywhere close to my home
It rains here 75% of the time already!
Katharina, LOL! Just don’t go ahead encouraging the man…. I think Nick is destined for more greatness than that…..
He should start a blog about weather forecasts and be a star in his own gig. I would, if I had more time in the day to do it! I think it would just be so much fun being on vidoe.
Atula, oh geez, tell me where you are located and I will steer clear of your predicted weather
