It is interesting to find out how starts chose their stage names.
What is even ore interesting is using their given names for a numerology chart, then looking at their chart using the stage name!
I love hearing the real names…I can see why celebrities changed their names since I don’t write under my real name.
I wonder if we grow into our names or if we turn out as we do because of our names. Names certainly influence the way other people respond to us. I can see why some actors need to change their names.
Yes..nmes are actually very important in making impressions in people’s mind..I know if I dont get along with a person of a particular name then the next person I meet with the same name…I am a little careful with that person too…that is natural…
My friend who is a teacher found it hard to name her baby because some of the names she liked were spoiled by troublesome pupils who had those names.
waht I clearly do not like is the way celebs depend on nmerology to change and rechange their names….if only life and success were so easy to get then people would have all the correct numbe of digits in their names and voila..success would be theres…
Justontime, it was a very painful process for me growing up
My parents decided to give me a first name, middle name, carried over my mother’s maiden name and a last name that has 10 letters.
So, you can just imagine all the times I’ve had to spell it out for everyone growing up. Not to mention my personal identifications got all screwed up because they would carry some of the names or make them initials.
Now, I am so glad I got married to a man with a very short last name. I had to legally change my name in order to take his…. so it worked out very well and cut off all the unnecessary names.
It was the opposite for me… I grew up with a very short last name and then when I married, my name became one with a number of possible spellings.
When I married I took my husband’s last name and I love it. It is short, common, easy to spell and it makes my life so much easier than my previous long and unusual surmame.
Atula, what is with that anyway? I find that people that share the same name have similar characteristics.
Don’t you think? Of course, anyone who has the same name as me must be as ultra cool as I am.
Justontime, when I have kids…. I am going to give them names that they don’t have to spell over and over again.
I grew up with a few…. so I know exactly how that feels. It can really give a kid some weird complex.
Sometimes I have come across people with really embarassing last names, so bad that they cause a few blushes. I don’t understand why they put up with it. Why don’t thet just change their name?
your blog is so nice and very good article. I like it.
