SageMother, maybe because women are mostly predispositioned to look for love….. that anything else but, might be hard to understand.

Katharina, kids are human beings too and they get affected by everything around them.

Sometimes this makes them look for parental figures outside the home and that can be dangerous.

SageMother, it would be difficult for the kids to adjust to the problems in the household if it keeps on happening.

Sooner or later they will be affected more if the couple stay than being apart.

It all comes down to what type of reconciliation both parents agree to. If they plan on being hostile with each other, they might as well split. But if both are willing to work things out and go back to how it was before, then maybe that can work.

I like the way a distinction is drawn between thrill seeking and looking for love..

Why is it that other women are so upset when a woman can make this distinction?

Oh I agree 100%! What that often leads to is *hurting* the children by having to live in a tense environment constantly.

Every woman really has too decide for herself if staying is worth the effort, but I think staying for the kids is really not as wise as many believe.
