I'm guilty of believing that exercise should be done in the morning to offer any benefit. Now I will have to rething this belief.

Reading this again (along with all the responses!) has given me the motivation to start with an exercise program again tomorrow.

I always do better at it in the fall and winter anyhow. Well today's still 90, but I think we're going back down tomorrow. :-)

Debo Hobo,

Those cabaret/fantasy costumes are nice, but don't reflect the range of actual garb worn for the dance, which gained its common name for the fact that the torso is allowed movement, not because the belly is exposed.

Debo Hobo, I have to say I busted my *ass* to work off the 60lbs I gained after I turned 30. It was no walk on the park, and pretty much thought I was never going to make it.

There is hope for everyone who wants to lose weight. They just have to put together a plan and move with it.

SageMother, I don't think Debo Hobo was referring to people with disabilities when she made that comment.

In general, when the world looks at the obesity problem, they talk and survey the healthy normal human beings whose current weight could potentially be a danger to themselves.

Even Dr. Atkins the originator of the Atkins diet died a heavy man because he was sick.

Debo Hobo, it's like everything else in life.... you have to work at it to make it work and to achieve a certain level of satisfaction. America's obesity problem is getting out of hand and the ratio for handicapped or afflication is really small percentage. So, I know you are not talking about that at all.

A friend of mine once asked me why I don't try to help out another girlfriend lose weight since I lost so much already, and I said.... she's not going to lose the weight if she spends more time complaining about it instead of doing something about it.

We all have the best intentions, but if we don't even try to execute it, how can we expect other people to do it for us?
