Sometimes a child goes years before people notice little problems, like not pronouncing the beginning or ending sounds of words, or mispronunciations that indicate sound is garbled for the listener. There really should be some things that should be covered by medical and I think hearing loss should be one of them. I am sure that as he grows older the pieces that he might require will be expensive. Hopefully, before then, someone would have found a cure for existing illnesses. There are those hearing issues that are present at birth, but then there are other problems associated with hearing loss, that are based on constant or loud noise. Right now he doesn't need hearing aids but there is a good chance that he will in the near future. I have looked into this more since this and it is sad that hearing aids are something that my son might need to help him especially in school and we might not be able to afford them. Insurance doesn't cover them. I will find a way to get them when needed but it won't be easy to fit this in our bills. I am glad to see someone bringing more attention to this.
