Thanks for dropping by!
Call me a cheapskate and what not, but how did Valentine become so commercial as to lose it’s appeal with me? It doesn’t have that special feel to it back in the old days when I used to go crazy over it. Could it be it’s just me getting old? Or could it be the advertising man in me who thinks this is just a way to make someone else rich! Oh god, I am becoming a grouch in my old age! LOL!
My husband and I did more for Valentines when we first got together. Now we are happy to spend time as a family. We have 3 little ones and have been married 11 years. We make a great dinner and enjoy it as a family.
Nope, you’re not a cheapskate or grouchy, Nick.
It’s very different now than it used to be… and not even that long ago. Now it’s all about how much our “valentine” spent on us and less about what it started out to be.
Hi Sharon,
This is so great! I love the body glove pink & black pouch! Any idea how much it cost?
oh, btw, Happy Valentine’s Day!
I’d really like a purple phone and accessories… but I don’t especially like the pink. I can be ultra girly in a lot of things, but purple phone suits me better.
I did more for Valentine’s Day during highschool then I do now. I was really never very big on it to begin with though. As for the phones I really like the pink one and the accessories are not to shabby either.
I love the red one blackberry that is, but i’m not sure if verizon wireless has great coverage where i live.
I know that where I live Verizon’s coverage is terrible. The dropped calls I used to get were terrible. Now my brother has Verizon and has no problems with it.
Nick, LOL! Maybe you are just getting old…..
The world commercializes almost everything and someone will eventually figure out more ways for us to spend more money.
EviesEarth, that is so sweet.
I bet the little ones were happy to be part of the occasion and they will never forget what Valentines really mean – doing something special with your loved one or loved ones.
Katharina, and I must admit though that sometimes we, women, always make that weird connection as to how much they spend to how much they love us.
I know hubby always try to get me to do fine dining on Valentines Day but instead I just want to go somewhere nice and cozy.
Jean, sorry I don’t know. But I’m sure you can buy it off eBay or Amazon for a better price than going directly to Verizon Wireless.
Tater, you mentioned that Verizon had bad coverage, and I thought the same thing until I realized that every once in a while you have to re-set your phone to work with the network. If you still have Verizon, all you have to do is call customer service and they’ll give you the number to call.
Katharina, then I’ll *take* the pink ones
Tater03, I guess there’s nothing more sweeter than dating during the teenage years.
Men just become different creatures when they hit their 20s. Not really sure why!
Lina M, isn’t verizon the *can you hear me now* commercial?
Verizon used to be the “can you hear me now” commercials, but they also have the commercials where the person “has a network” behind them. Both are kind of annoying if you ask me.
Yes, but it has turned out to be a very catchy phrase. I never realized that I said, “Can you hear me now?” until after those commercials. And now when you say it, it is like mocking the commercial.
Tater03, I don’t have much knowledge on how these cell stations work, but it could be your location also.
But, I guess now that they’ve stepped up their commercials to include their clients in the most unlikely locations, that their service is now better.
Jewel, thanks for the Verizon tips!
Jewel, LOL!
I am just waiting for the commercial that shows a person in the loo talking on the telephone, and he’s got his whole network with him.
Trick-r-treat, it’s catchy though and every single time I hear it I think of Verizon.
So, I guess it puts the message across.
