At Wayne Manor, the flashing red Batphone is answered by Alfred the butler, who tells Wayne about the trouble. Then Wayne and his young ward Dick Grayson put on their superhero costumes. As Batman and Robin, they race from the Batcave in the Batmobile to battle evil-doers, or rescue citizens in distress.
Now everyone can have a bright red flashing Batphone just like a superhero. When an emergency call - or even an ordinary call - comes in, a bright red light centered in a shiny chrome ring starts flashing to attract attention.
This new phone, just developed by AbleComm, Inc., has classic sixties styling, with heavy-duty construction, and a two-year warranty. It gets all of its power from the phone line, and doesn’t require a power cord or batteries.
The phone rings when the light flashes, unless a purchaser prefers the bell to be disconnected, or an optional buzzer to be installed instead of the bell. Price with the bell is $112, including shipping to all 50 states.

Thanks for dropping by!
This is a cool phone. Not sure I would have one in our home, as I really need my cordless! It would be fun to just “have” one as a conversation piece.
A flashing phone is pretty handy, especially if you prefer the ringer off! I bet there are some cordless models with the same flashing feature.
I love unique phones. This one is pretty neat, but I like mine better. It’s the hamburger phone from Juno, and I actually use it.
That is a unique phone but I think that the flashing red light would actually drive me nuts.
Whao, I love that phone. Now I can put on my skin tight Lycra suit and head out to fight crime everytime that phone flashes!
Urrmm, that is if they don’t arrest me for indecent exposure or something … LOL!
I could see why you would take back that train phone. I would find that annoying especially if it is really loud.
That nice pink phones just goes to show how fashion keeping repeating itself, because I have seen those phones before, only not so hot looking and pink. Nice.
I once had a phone that was shaped like a car and the lights would flash when it was ringing. It had the most annoying ring.
EviesEarth, that’s why I posted this article here.
I thought it was supercool too…. I’ve always wanted to have one!
SageMother, that would be so neat to just have a phone that flashes.
I had a cell phone like that one time and it really did work better for me than having one that rings all the time.
Jewel, those hamburger phones are so cute!
Doesn’t it make you hungry just looking at it though?
Tater03, LOL! It’s a good thing that Alfred the Butler didn’t mind the blinking light, or else, Gotham city would never have been saved!
Ummm Nick…. I’m not sure if you should really make it publicly known that you have a *lycra* suit in the back of your closet.
That makes me think of other things aside from fighting evil
LOL!
Katharina, LOL!
At least you bought it, and you returned it. If my husband bought it, I probably would have thrown it out the balcony in a week.
Mind you, I do have something similar like that for an alarm clock and it drives him *batty*.
Tater03, you and me both.
A flashing red light is not really that bad compared to loud choo choo noises.
Liza, umm…. the phone is red.
EviesEarth, I bet the men of the house just absolutely loved it.
I know if my husband had one, he would just play with it all day and watch it ring.
