That is somewhat nice and btw I am also happy to know that your husband loves the soup!

I need to look into this. My 8 year old is already reading. My 3, almost 4 year old is beginning to show interest in reading.
I remember how much *I* enjoyed the phonics programs at school when I learned to read. I think making education fun is very important and makes the kids want to learn more (and probably faster.) Phonics programs are great!
I picked up one of the phonics programs at a garage sale and they are well worth the money if you ask me.
Just to add there is this site that might help your kids to learn to read. It is for new readers and older ones. It is starfall.com and I love it and so do my kids. I thought I would just share that with you.
Thank you for sharing that site tater!
I am going to check it out as my little ones really love to play on the computer. I am always trying to find educational sites for them.
Kids at that age really love to learn. And they seem to be so much more teachable than when they get to be teenagers!
I think phonics is the only way to really teach a child to read. Memorizing sight words doesn’t teach how to figure out new words, which is true reading.
You’re welcome. I think that they will enjoy it. I know my sons love it.
EviesEarth, this is a wonderful tool for your toddlers.
I grew up before the age of computers and this is the kind of stuff my parents raised me on. It really does improve your reading ability as you get older.
Tater03, thanks for sharing the info!
Chase, it’s such an awesome recipe!!!
Trick-r-treat, maybe because they don’t talk back like teenagers do?
SageMother, I didn’t know there was a difference!
I think this is a great tool especially for a friend who is a little worried about her four year old daughters reading…I will certainly show this to her.
