Holidays 2006 I was sick as a dog for almost two months because I caught a cold and a flu back to back. Even just the smell of food was enough to get me to go into hiding. I actually have a very funny story about fasting. Growing up, my father's family has this tradition of leaving all the kids with one parent during the summertime so that the grown ups can go for a holiday. One time, they left us with an uncle who decided it was time we all fasted *perhaps he didn't like the idea of having to feed all of us :)* during the three weeks we were left at his care. Needless to say, that was the last time we were ever left with him. Lalla Mira, now I really call that a very good balance.
