Reddish and brownish shades flatter skin with yellow undertones, while pumpkin hues look best on pale and dark complexions. Always a trendsetter, Chloe Sevigny does it justice wearing a knockout Prada dress and Bulgari jewelry!
Orange works with nearly every neutral - brown, beige, gray, blue - as Kerry Washington styles it. Just a bit of advice though, black and orange don’t mix.
Wear only one tangerine piece at a time - a little color goes a long way! Check out how Ashley Olson spiced out her look with a studded Christian Louboutin bag!

Thanks for dropping by!
I personally have always liked the color orange. I am glad to see it is in fashion. It being fall here now it is actually a good color to wear.
Orange Is Hot This Season…
According to Life & Style Magazine, here are some tips on how to pull off orange:

I love orange — not in my decor, unless it’s Halloween, but for wardrobe items, it adds a definite “punch”. I once had an orange blouse and wore it w/ a wide black patent leather belt, black pants, black shoes. I probably looked very “Halloweeny” in this get up, but I felt really lively. LOL And I’m seeing all shades of orange, coral, and many hues of pinkish orange on the celeb circuit this season. It’s definitely sage advice to look for a shade which flatters the undertones of your skin. With dismal days ahead, I think this colour is really cheery!

Orange definitely isn’t my color so I doubt that I’ll be in fashion for the orange season.
I think it’s probably my skin tone that makes me feel that way… I can’t even imagine looking good (thus feeling perky) in orange.
I think orange looks good on me until about the middle of the winter. After that when I start to lose my tan and get that pasty white from being indoors it doesn’t look all that great on me. That is why I have alway wore it right around this time.
I don’t look good in orange either. Sads. I really need a change I’m sick of browns, greens, blacks and whites..

Yay, that makes me a fashionable girl.

I have a nice long orange tunique, which I wear with jeans. I loved the combination so much that I bought orange shoes for the outfit. That was a first for me. I never buy shoes of ‘uncommon’ colors; and orange is for shoes, according to my fashion standards.
Glad to know my style happens to be à la mode.
I love those pair of sunglasses! They look really nice..

I have never really liked the color orange, but I have seen more people wearing it lately. I also kind of like those orange high heels.
I am not an orange fan. I like red and yellow but not orange. Makes me feel like a pumpkin.
Tater03. I also like the orange, but more to the metallic or bright side…. I’m not sure if I like the *pumpkin* hue.
I love orange, and it looks great with most complexions. I love the sunglasses.

Samantha, I’ve noticed that also. Orange is a really hot color amongst celebrity fashionistas.
I’ve always wanted to be one of those fashion gurus that decides of what goes in fashion - just like Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada.
Katharina, it’s so funny that you mentioned that.
I was over at Holt Renfrew this weekend, and took a stab at trying out the *orange couture*, and oh my, the more money you pay….. the better the color looks.
Of course, couldn’t afford a $3000 price tag that came with it.
Tater03, I hear orange is really good though for pale complexions.
I am getting my fake and bake this winter, so maybe I’ll be able to wear orange way into spring hmmmm ?
Bobo, you are probably just like me. I can’t wait for the fun and bright colors to come back for spring!
Lalla Mira, hey, I think that is such a serious fashion statement.
I just love those tunics that have sequences on them. I think I’ve even seen them in orange.
But I do have an apple green tunic that I’ve bought matching sequenced shoes for. You and I should go somewhere wearing my outfit and yours
Lalla Mira, I’ve been having problems leaving a message on your blog since yesterday.
I think your post php file is corrupted. You need help?
How about we meet up for shopping in Paris?
Oh yes, Sharon! My blog has been acting weird for the last 3 days. I first thought it was WordPress, but my hosting company told me to re-install everything. I don’t know what to do!
Lalla Mira, Paris it is then….
About your blog, what were the last 3 things you were doing before it started acting funny?
Oh by the way, I’m going to buy those pink little cute computer stuff the first minute I get….
Cool!
[Hint: I have serious plans about going to Paris before the end of the year. It's now all about my schedule, and those who are coming with me. I will not be surprised though if I realize that our trip is canceled for some reason. Sigh!]
Nothing Sharon! I posted a blog entry like usual. I had someone report troubles with commenting on my blog, but I thought it was just them, as I had other comments coming in, and I could post without any problems. Then I wanted to delete one of the widgets on the sidebar, each time I did that and hit save, the page turned blank even though it kept the header of my WP dashboard. Then I posted my last entry that you can see. Then I couldn’t even access my posts management tab on WP.
Mudkipz, I also *love* those sunglasses. I was just checking out Channel’s latest collection of sunglasses and they have similar ones to die for!
[Off-topic: Sharon, my blog is back to normal. Thank you for offering your help! :]
Jewel, I’m so impartial when it comes to the orange *pumpkin* color, I even hate it more if it’s suede. It’s just so hard to take care of it properly.
3Plus3, I’m also a big fan of reds and yellows.
I can’t wait for spring to come, so we can fashionably leave this orange trend behind.
Dena, thanks for dropping by!
Orange seems to be everywhere nowadays. Even after all the pumpkins are gone.
Sorry for the delay, Link Love is posting up now!
Lalla Mira, shopping in Paris? Anytime…. BTW, we can do the blogging in Paris thing together. I think that would be too much fun.
I’m so glad that your blog’s working like magic again. It looks different somehow and very nice. Did you do something different during your reload?
