Eyebrows are shaped and colored all the time. Today, there are a variety of pencils for the eyebrows, in different colors and brands. Using pencils for the eyebrows also enhances the beauty of the face. This is the most standard way to fill in the brows. The shape of your brow should follow the natural line of your brow bone. The arch should be highest at the outer corner of the pupil. To determine where the brow should begin, place a pencil straight up from the side of the nostril. To determine where it should end, hold the pencil diagonally against the outer corner of the eye pointing up to the brow bone. Brow should extend slightly beyond the eye at which point it should taper slightly down.
Perfect Eyebrows Tips
1. Do not pluck your brows too much.
2. Before tweezing your brows, you must prepare your skin by wiping the brow area with a cotton ball soaked in astringent.
3.. Brush your eyebrows using small amount of gel.
4.. Color mascara will be great on your eyebrows.
5.. Do maintain your eyebrows on a regular basis, say, once in a week or fortnight.
6.. If you have little longer brow hairs, trim using manicure scissors.
7.. Pluck your brows after taking shower. This will make your task easy, and it is less painful.
8.. Take precaution while plucking, so that holes will not appear on your eyebrows after plucking.

Thanks for dropping by!
No disrespect intended but I am glad to be male. Being a woman is just too much work. The number of things you all have to keep up with. WOW!!
I hate plucking my eyebrows!! To much pain, I just shave mine to the desired shape.
Gerri, all I can say is…. I hope the men appreciate it.
I can only speak for myself and tell you that it is very much appreciated. I have a lot of respect for women. You all go through a lot, do a lot and still “live life” HAPPILY.
These are great tips of getting great eyebrows, especially the first one.
In high school, I decided to trim my eyebrows way too much. I had to fill them in with an eyeliner pencil. It was horrible, and it was so embarrassing!
These are good tips. It’s so easy to slip up and do just a little over plucking. Properly shaped eyebrows make all the difference in the world. Brooke Shields is the only example of anyone ho can get away with the somewhat bushy eyebrow look and still look very pretty.
I ALWAYS do the pencil trick when shaping eyebrows! It works so well.
3Plus3, do you end up getting stubbles or thicker hair by shaving your eyebrows?
I’ve never done that before but I do have friends that do.
I didn’t know brows could be plucked too much. I assume that the person wearing the brows is fine with the way they look, and if not , they could be corrected with a little pencil!
I have never plucked my eyebrows. For some reason the whole thing just seems so hard to do and I know me I would never keep up with it.
Jewel, I’ve got one of those moments to share too! One night while the girls and I were preparing one of those night outs, we decided to start drinking before putting on our makeup.
Even to this day, I still can’t seem to have a good laugh over what I’d done to my eyebrows. And they took so long to grow back!
Samantha, and to think how much celebrities pay to get their eyebrows done.
Apparently a salon in Beverly Hills have a two weeks waiting list.
My eyebrows sure would be bushy by the time they get to it.
Ninikins, I’ve actually bought one of those eyebrow shape shapers and then you pencil it in.
Works very well.
SageMother, I know! Why doesn’t simple stay simple? Eyebrows are now a fashion statement simply because celebrities are touting expensively done ones!
Being a woman is hard work!
I always have problems with the whole plucking of the eyebrows thing so have now resorted to having them waxed by a professional
Some great tips here
I used to have this small little razor from Wal-mart that was supposed to be used for trimming the eyebrows. I used it often, and never had problems with hair growing back differently from before. It was actually a very useful tool, and took only a couple minutes to use.
Jewel, it’s so funny that you should bring that up!
I bought the same darned thing from a japanese store and I ended up getting a nick cut on my eyebrows… Swore never ever to touch it again.
You ever have the same problems?
Mad Goat Lady, I just find anything related to waxing just absolutely dreadful
I find myself usually jumping off my seat at every strip pulled, especially when it’s my eyebrows that is being worked on.
I never nicked my eyebrows, but maybe I was just really lucky.
As for waxing, the first time I ever did anything with my eyebrows, my mom waxed them for me when I was 13 years old. It was for my junior high graduation. I swore that it would never happen again.
Jewel, I hope you didn’t go to your junior high grad with splotchy, red skin.
I remember the first time I started to wax when my eyebrows when I was a teenager, and I could not get rid of the redness for weeks.
But then, waxing I dont think is as a bad as getting your eyebrows threaded.
