My grandmother died from breast cancer. I am sure I am genetically at risk of getting it. I just pray that breast cancer would not come to me this early in my life.

I guess that is why I have been wearing a lot of pink this month.

I always shop at the breast cancer stores. Some of the pink stuff they sell is just lovely, whether it is for charity or not! Great article as usual – thankyou!

Samantha, she is doing fantastic. And her biggest regret was not getting the masectomy sooner because she put herself at risk for spreading the cancer to her other organs. I don't think this is something that is going to come back. Her doctor has given her a clean bill of health for the last 3 years. Imaginary Diva's last blog post..What?s Making us Fatter?

A great and worthy cause. I haven’t experienced breast cancer, but have experienced cancer in my family. And it is quite a devastating illness. I hope they find a cure.

SageMother, I’m sure there have been and are new medical research or treatments that are promising.

In the case of my mother, she was diagnosed three times. She was given the option the first two times for a masectomy which she declined. The third time around she decided to get it done because her sister had recently passed away with breast cancer.

There are some great products out there that support the finding of a cure for breast cancer. I have known quite a few women who have survived breast cancer, and one who did not.
