That’s a great idea. I use my vegetable scraps as compost. I use the compost on my garden.
Opal, I would love to have a garden again, but now living in a condo, space to plant and grow beautiful flowers is very much limited.
But, it’s good to be environmental aware and do your bit in helping make our world cleaner.
I really like this! It’s not unsightly like the green plastic pail I used to have (and stopped using). This one can be in plain view, a constant reminder to turn those scraps into garden goodness! I have a small herb garden and have yet to do anything more ambitious. I keep telling myself I will though! I’m going to check Clean Air Gardening out to see what else they have!
My biggest problems with compost containers is that they stink after using them consistenly and I have to keep on buying new ones.
So, when I do get my house in the ‘burbs complete with the white picket fence and the garden, I will most likely get one of these.
We are at the end of phase two of our landscaping and have set aside a small area for a raised garden bed. This little crock looks like it would be perfect for our goals.
I really like the look of this also. It is not real guady looking and it would blend in with all types of kitchens. I have never seen these before but it is a really great idea.

This ceramic compost crock actually is the first of its kind that is nice enough to keep on your kitchen counter!
