Ballerina Flats: In case you haven’t noticed, these super comfortable, height friendly, versatile numbers are everywhere. They are great for just about every situation and come in a variety of styles that range from fun and casual to classy and sexy. Try wearing them with one of those baby doll dresses and a pair of laced Capri leggings for a look that can take you from day all the way to evening.
Booties: Booties are very big this year and can be worn with any outfit be it casual, business, or evening wear. These shoes can be a sexy and sassy addition to your wardrobe and can be worn with pants, jeans, and skirts. Since fashion this fall seems to be leaning towards a classy, elegant look, the oxford booties in a neutral color will get you through the colder seasons accompanied by everything from those super sexy wide leg jeans your favorite mini skirt. If you’re looking to spice up a solid colored jersey dress, try pairing it with bold color bootie and dark opaque tights.
Boots: Boots seem to be popular every fall for several reasons. They’re very versatile and can be worn with practically anything. This season you will be seeing a lot of sweater boots, slouch boots, cuff boots, and boots with buckles. One trend that seems to be dominating this fall’s boot collection is the flat heal style. If you steered clear of last year’s super high heels, you should feel more comfortable in the lower to the ground styles this year.
Platforms: You can say good-bye to those super pointy heels and hello to peep toe, and round toe platforms. This year’s fall heels are all about sole and there will be plenty of it. You’ll see wedge heels, chunky heels and thin heels. These super sexy shoes will give your legs those extra couple inches making you look sexy in everything you wear.
Animal Print: If you love to keep things a little on the wild side, you’ll be happy to know that animal prints are also going to be big when it comes to covering your toes. Take your feet on a safari with leopard, cheetah, or zebra prints. Remember to keep it simple when wearing these prints. Don’t create a fashion disaster by trying to over complicate you outfit; it’s best to stick with something simple like a black dress matched with leopard platforms.

I really like the shoe trends for this upcoming season. It took me a while to make the transition to flats, only because I could use the extra verticality (if that’s even a word?! LOL). I must say, though, when I put on a pair of flats, I’m really good to go and I don’t mind walking. Plus, there is so much variety out there now. I recently hit a few sales and bought up a bunch of flats at end of season prices. Here’s hoping they’re hot for another couple of seasons yet!
I am also prone to heels… I like the added height they give me especially when I worked with all men… I didn’t have to look as far up at them. I am not sure about the whole flat thing. I am sure my feet would love me for it though.
I just love end of the season sales! And Samantha, I also stocked up on flats. I am not a big flat fan like sandmike123 either, but this year ballet slippers trend are too good to pass up. Eventhough I don’t get that added height, it sure feels nice to slip on something comfortable and gorgeous…..
The shoe trends for the next season look like my closet already so it looks like I am “all good”. I gues my excuse to buy more will have to be color!
I glad ankle booties are one of the “must have’s” for this fall’s fashion. I just got rid of my favorite pair of ankle boots. I’m due for brand new pair or two. And I’m so glad there are so many styles to choose from for women like me who wear size 11.
I love the ballet slippers. That really is the only type of flat shoe that I care for. I just never really cared for the way flats look on me. But the ballet flats are just so comfortable.
I like having one pair of shoes of all kinds so that it can go with whatever I am wearing that day…but I must say when I am in a hurry I opt for the flat ballerinas that are most comfortable.
I have never, ever been a high heel person. They are one of the most ridiculous inventions ever made. Give me a nice loafer, sandal, or other flat anyday.
Being ‘vertically challenged’ I have always worn heels.
Sure i have low heeled sandals and shoes for holidays and everyday wear with jeans etc… i can’t walk in totally flat shoes though.
