I think that there is some merit to the fruit diet, but I don’t think it is related to how you smell. Eventually your body will adjust and begin to produce the substances it needs, and those will create the regular odors associated with them.

A good study might investigate the odors produced by wild gorillas, who are basically vegetarians. What do they smell like?
