One thin gis sure, losing weight means she didn’t have to buy a whole new wardrobe, and sponsers would still see her as a personality able to sell their products!

celebs really can do anything to stay in the limelight…that is what I think…if they gain weight…it becomes in to be curvy and if they loose weight…tht is also news…so it is all part ofthe game…

Katharina, she has kept the weight off!

I guess I wouldn’t really consider it amazingly since she probably has a minder that makes sure that she eats properly to keep her slim body.

I realize this is an old post from a number of months ago, but I’m very interested in the outcome. I don’t follow Tyra news so I’m interested to know if she kept the weight off and if there’s any more gossip about it.

I am thinking that many a male fan screamed loud and long... thus, Tyra was told she HAD to lose weight.

I thought it was fantastic that she stood up for her weight and didn't have issue with it. She wasn't that heavy!

If she chose to lose weight for *her*.. good for her. If she had to lose weight to please others.. not good.

I thought Tyra looked good with a few pounds on her, but in the end she has to feel good about herself. I think she felt fat even if she said otherwise. Good for her for losing the weight!

There should be more fans like you other there tater03. Unfortunately the general masses are not so forgiving. Hence, the rise of all these crazy tabloid stuff.

It's so very easy for a celebrity to be a "has been" and once you've crossed that mark, it is very hard to come back and re-invent yourself. Few do it so successfully.

And with her being the creater of America's top model where the stress is that if you are not skinny and beautiful, you are not going to make it, it's very hard for the top execs to overlook the fact that she has gained some weight.

What does that person mean she has a responsibility to her fans? That is ridiculous the only one she has a responsibility towards when it concerns her weight is herself. I think she looked good then and she looks good now.

I think she was about 170lbs at the peak of that little controversy in January. She’s always been a little bit bigger than that standard 0 models. That’s why she’s been such an inspiration to many.

I am a big Tyra fan. It’s hard having to face all that pressure.
