Jennifer told Britain’s You magazine: “I love reading cookbooks but I’ve had plenty of culinary disasters.
“Last summer, when we were living in a rented house in Boston while Ben was directing a movie, the fire department came rolling up because I’d set the fire alarm off. I got a pan too hot, put the chicken in and didn’t know how to turn on the extractor fan.” The 34-year-old admits she found it difficult to return to work after having Violet.
She said: “During my first two weeks back at work, I cried the whole way in and the whole way home, and Violet was with me. She was there in the trailer and I was still really freaked out. How could I let anyone pick up my baby, ever? It’s really confusing and emotionally draining.”

I just love Jennifer Garner, even if she did almost burn a house down!! Her daughter is so cute, and I think Jennifer and Ben are truly happy. She is so pretty, and seems like she’d be very nice, too!
I had not read this but I can understand where she is coming from. I was not a great cook when I first got married. I had my own dumb mistakes when it came to learning how to cook.

Goes to show how people should really stick to doing things they are good at rather than doing something that leads to a disaster….;)
We have all set the fire alarm off once or twice while cooking, she is just normal
Come on now ladies, hands up if you’ve ever set the smoke alarm off by leaving toast to burn? We all do it.. at least she has the sense to have alarms in the house.
I’d never heard this story, but she’s not alone. A lot of amateur cooks have done this kind of thing.
